Yes we do branding for companies and we also sell individual t-shirts/apparel to client’s on order. We only offer two services – the one is the actual printing of dtf prints on the chosen sheet size and/or we will supply our own apparel and press designs onto that apparel to on-sell to clients.
We, unfortunately, do not allow client’s to supply their own apparel/t-shirts for us to press onto. We only press on apparel from our own suppliers.
We ship throughout South Africa at very reasonable fees. We use Fastway for Durban Central and Courier Guy/Pudo in other areas. Present shipping fees range between R60 to R90 for dtf prints. If you choose the shipping option you will need to also purchase a postal core (approximately R25) so that your prints can be shipped without being damaged. You can select this additional option at checkout.
Shipping time is separate to the 24 hour printing turnaround time.
Pre press the shirt for a few seconds to remove moisture. Then place your transfer sheet on the shirt with teflon on top. Press at 160 – 165 degrees for 15 seconds. Let the transfer cool slightly and then you can pull off the transfer sheet. You may use different temperatures depending on the type of fabric you are pressing onto. We usually use cotton t-shirts hence the 160 degree temperature we use. Lighter fabrics may use a lower temperature.
We require no less than 300dpi, with a transparent background. The designs must be set up on the sheet size you have chosen and saved preferable as a png. If you require assistance with preparing the sheet you can select this option at checkout. The fee we presently charge for printing is for prints that are “ready to print”. We can always help you out on the first one so that you know what to do in the future but our business is “printing” and it takes time to assist with designs and set up which is why we charge a fee for that.
DTF printing is a process where designs are printed onto a thin film and then transferred onto various apparel such as t-shirts. Unlike other printing methods, DTF uses a combination of digital printing technology and heat to create high-quality prints. The designs are first printed on a transparent film using specialized DTF printers, and then heat is applied to transfer the design onto the custom apparel/t-shirts. This direct transfer process eliminates the need for complex steps and simplifies the overall printing process.
Our most cost effective sheet size is 56cm x meter. You can fit approximately 5 x A3s onto this sheet. We also do A4 and A3 size prints but these are much more expensive as the film is more expensive and generally if its not going into a print run with other prints you use quite a bit of ink just to do a head clean for such a small print.
Our focus is on per meter prints. You can fit as many images as you can onto that size sheet whether A5, A4 or A3 size.
Present costs are listed on the Shop page. Sizes are:
Per meter : 56cm x 100cm
A3 : 28cm x 42cm
A4 : 20cm x 29cm
A5 : 14cm x 20cm.
We aim for 24 hours. We prepare prints in the mornings so clients that send us their prints before 10am may be able to get their prints on the same day if we haven’t already programmed the printing queue, alternatively they are usually available the next day. Larger orders may take longer so that does need to be taken into account.
DTF transers are compatible for most fabrics on the market, such as cotton, polyester, nylon, leather, denim, silks. The beauty of dtf prints if that they can be pressed on all colours of fabrics. This is because we print a white layer under the image so no matter what the colour of the fabric the image will still pop out and look bright and beautiful.
Most of our clients prefer to use cotton as its very comfortable and durable. Besides clothing dtf transfers can be pressed onto decorative pillows, bedding and curtaining. Polyester Polyester fabric has high elastic and also has a very soft feel. It is also durable and wrinkle resistant. DTF printing also works on leather and PU leather – mainly for making bags, belts and shoes. Denim is a lovely thick fabric that comes in many different colours. Some are hard, some are soft and some are stretchy. DTF transfers are beautiful on denim.
We are located in Waterfall, KwaZulu Natal, between Kloof and Hillcrest. We allow pickups in Waterfall and we also ship nationwide at very reasonable prices.
DTF printing has found applications in a wide range of industries, thanks to its versatility and capabilities. Additionally, DTF printing is employed in the signage and advertising industries for producing eye-catching displays and banners.
To start, there is no need to go into debt to purchase the very expensive equipment/printers needed. There is a huge learning curve and its very important to keep temperature and humidity correct in the printing environment. Inks, film and powder are also very pricey. Consider outsourcing your dtf prints especially if you are just starting out in the printing industry or if you want to adopt DTF t-shirt/apparel printing to grow your business.
